Hi, I’m Melissa.
I’m a licensed clinical psychologist in Washington and Oregon with over a decade of experience working at the intersection of neuroscience, chronic pain, and neurodevelopment.
My work focuses on how nervous systems adapt under long-term stress — whether that shows up as persistent pain, burnout, sensory overload, emotional suppression, or years of masking and compensating. I specialize in two closely related areas: neuroscience-informed therapy for chronic pain, and adult ADHD and autism evaluations for late-identified, high-masking adult.
In both roles, I work with adults who are insightful, capable, and often exhausted by years of trying to “figure themselves out” within systems that never quite fit. Many are high-masking, late-diagnosed, or living with symptoms that don’t map neatly onto structural findings or traditional diagnostic boxes.
Much of what I do involves translating complex science into clear, usable understanding. This includes therapy for chronic pain and mind–body conditions, comprehensive ADHD and autism evaluations for adults seeking diagnostic clarity or accommodations, and consultation and supervision for clinicians working with complex nervous-system presentations.
In addition to my clinical training, I bring a lived experience with chronic pain and ADHD, which informs my respect for pacing, autonomy, and the realities of real bodies and real lives. I don’t view therapy or assessment as a process of fixing what’s broken. I see it as helping a nervous system make sense of its own history and supporting meaningful change, clarity, and self-trust.
